Don’t be afraid of deliverance!

Deliverance, in a spiritual context, is a process of finding freedom from things that are holding you back. It’s about recognizing and releasing negative thought patterns, behaviors, or spiritual influences that are preventing you from living a full and peaceful life.

Instead of focusing on fear or judgment, think of it as a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. The core idea is to identify the lies you’ve come to believe about yourself or your circumstances. These lies might sound like:

  • I’m not good enough

  • I’m unlovable

  • I’ll never succeed

  • I’m a victim of my past.

These beliefs can create a stronghold, influencing your actions and keeping you stuck.

Deliverance is about challenging these lies with truth. It’s a gentle and loving process of replacing those negative thoughts with positive, life-affirming ones.

My experience in ministry as an anointer/minister with Cleansing Stream Ministries has taught me to approach this by helping people:

  1. Identify the lies: Through teaching and self-reflection, you’re guided to see the root beliefs that are causing pain.

  2. Repent and forgive: This involves a process of letting go of past hurts, both those you’ve experienced and those you may have caused. It’s about releasing the emotional baggage.

  3. Break the hold: This is the heart of the process. It’s about declaring your freedom from those lies and influences. This can be done through prayer, declarations, and a commitment to living in a new way.

  4. Embrace truth: You replace the old lies with new truths about your identity, worth, and purpose. This is about renewing your mind and filling your heart with hope.

In essence, deliverance is a spiritual spring cleaning. It’s not about being haunted or possessed in a scary way. It’s about finding freedom from the mental and emotional clutter that has been weighing you down.

It’s a gentle and empowering journey toward a more peaceful and authentic life, one where you’re not defined by your past but by the hope of your future.
